I still owe this blog a rant about the difficulty of finding a decent webhost. I thought my webhosting demands were pretty straightforward, but that turned out to be not at all the case. Undoubtedly there are a lot of webhosts who support the features I have listed here and more for less money, but I didn't find them, so tough for me. Also, I'm not an expert on webservers or web applications. I determined what I needed by installing Apache and various CMSs/blogs on a local machine and fiddling around untill it worked. Some of you reading this might have other essential features on your list. If you think I'm missing out on something, let me know. A lot of people will say that I'm better of with a dedicated server so can have full control over the machine. Well, I have thought about it, but as I said, I'm not a webserver expert. Plus, it's more expensive than I want it to be and it takes too much time to maintain such a beast.
